Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Long Term Care

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Long Term Care position at a rehabilitation and nursing facility in Vermont, requiring at least 1 year of experience, prior travel experience, and Epic EMR proficiency.

Job Details

• Long-term care unit within a rehabilitation and nursing facility,

• 8-hour evening shifts, scheduled Monday through Sunday with no block scheduling,

• 4-week contract,

• Minimum every other weekend requirement, with scheduling adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs,

• Floating required,

• Epic EMR experience required; must be from within the past 2 years,

• Dementia-capable care patient population,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Vermont or a compact state; NY candidates accepted with proof of pending NY licensure,

• Minimum 1 year of LTC or relevant nursing experience,

• Prior travel nursing experience required,

• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable,

• Dementia-capable care certification preferred,

• Background check required: 7-year nationwide check (county court searches, FACIS 3, sex offender registry) completed within 18 months of start date; FACIS 3 and VCIC completed within 30 days of start,

• Two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor required (one from within the past 6 months, one from within the past year of employment),

• SSN and DOB required for consideration,

• All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained,

• Complete work history required, including bed count, EMR, and facility type,

• Candidate must not have an allergy to cats,

• Public transportation is not accessible in this area; a personal or rental vehicle with all-season or snow tires (November through April) is strongly recommended,

• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local; those living 51-100 miles away qualify for a travel rate; distance is measured in a straight line, not by driving distance,

• Local candidates are accepted at a local pay rate,
