Position Overview
Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – evening shift, 8‑hour day (2:45PM – 11:15PM), full time, every weekend.
Location:
Porter – Helen Porter Nursing Home, 30 Porter Drive, Middlebury, Vermont.
- Salary Range – RN:
Min $37.01, Mid $47.11, Max $57.21 per hour; LPN:
Min $21.47, Mid $26.83, Max $32.20 per hour. - Weekend Differential: $2.00 per hour (in addition to any evening or night differentials).
- Registered Nurse Sign‑On Bonus: $10,000 paid in two installments (first paycheck and after one year of satisfactory employment); not available to current University of Vermont Health Network employees.
- Licensed Practical Nurse Bonus: up to $7,500 paid in three installments (after probationary period, after 1 year, after 2 years); not available to current University of Vermont Health Network employees.
- Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life & disability insurance, 403(b) plan with employer contribution, and time‑off plans.
- Perform services requiring specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill for carrying out nursing regimen in support of medical care based on biological, physiological, behavioral, and social sciences.
- Perform selected aspects of nursing regimen under RN direction, requiring specialized knowledge and skill.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont.
- Experience in gerontological nursing and knowledge of supervision techniques preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Demonstrated competence as a nursing practitioner.
- BLS certification.
- Position is a bargaining union position for Registered Nurses.
- Current LPN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont.
- Experience in gerontological nursing and knowledge of supervision techniques preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Demonstrated competence as a nursing practitioner.
- BLS certification.
