Overview

Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in Middlebury, Vermont.

Start date:

08/03/2026 for a 16-week contract.
Weekly pay: $2,541–$2,683 per week.
No guaranteed hours.

Shift: 3x12-hour Nights.
Setting:
Hospital Birthing Center with Labor, Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care.
This is a Travel - Temporary Assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

• Monitor maternal and fetal status; support laboring patients through delivery and postpartum transition
• Assist with obstetric procedures and deliveries; provide newborn care and parent education
• Administer medications and anticoagulation per protocol; manage pain relief and labor progression
• Perform ongoing nursing assessments; document in the electronic medical record (Epic) and communicate changes to the team
• Respond to obstetric emergencies, collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesia, and pediatric teams
• Float to medical-surgical and emergency department units as needed; maintain patient and family safety, privacy, and comfort
• Ensure adherence to unit policies, infection control, and patient safety standards; schedule may vary with unit needs and patient care demands
• Maintain reliability for a minimum of every other weekend or schedule adjustments to meet unit requirements

• Active RN license in good standing;
  Vermont licensure or eligibility to practice in Vermont
• BLS (AHA) and NRP certifications required
• 1 year of LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Postpartum) experience required
• Epic experience within the past 2 years required
• Prior travel experience preferred
• Ability to float to Med‑Surg and ED units; night shift availability
• Reliable transportation required
