Position
We are seeking either a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse for this opportunity.
Unit LPN DetailsSalary range:
Min: $21.47, Mid: $26.83, Max: $32.20. An employment bonus of up to $7,500 is available for an LPN in this role. Bonus payments are subject to applicable taxes and will be paid in three installments: after satisfactory probationary period (generally 90 days), after 1 year, and after 2 years of employment. Current University of Vermont Health Network employees are excluded from eligibility for this bonus.
Registered Nurse Details
RNs with at least 1 year of experience are eligible for a $10,000 sign‑on bonus, payable in two installments: first pay check and after completion of one year of satisfactory employment. Current University of Vermont Health Network employees are excluded.

Differentials- Evening $3 per hour
- Weekend $2 per hour (in addition to any applicable Evening or Night differentials)
The Unit RN performs services requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill for carrying out the nursing regimen in support of medical care, based upon the principles of the biological, physiological, behavioral, and social sciences.
The Licensed Practical Nurse performs services requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill for carrying out selected aspects of the designated nursing regiment under the direction of a RN.
Education- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required.
- Current LPN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required.
- Gerontological nursing and knowledge of supervision techniques preferred.
- Able to read, write, and speak the English language.
- Demonstrate competence as a nursing practitioner.
- BLS certification.
Memory Care is designed to meet the changing needs of individuals as they experience the progression of symptoms and increases in cognitive loss associated with a diagnosis of dementia. Our early‑stage program offers activity‑based care in a warm, supportive and safe environment with a primary goal of helping individuals maintain dignity, purpose, and functional ability. This highly specialized unit is staffed with very dedicated advocates and team members.
Residents in this unit are the most vulnerable, usually unable to advocate for themselves.

- Appropriate experience in specific clinical area. Varies by unit.
