Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Job Summary:

The Emergency Room RN will provide acute patient care in a busy critical access emergency department. This role requires operational expertise, clinical proficiency, and the ability to deliver high-quality care across a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement patient care in compliance with ED protocols and standards.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and utilize advanced equipment such as Alaris IV pumps and Phillips monitors.
• Perform procedures including IV insertions, ECGs, restraint application, and procedural sedation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient transports, especially for STEMI, stroke, or trauma cases.
• Document all patient interactions accurately within the Epic electronic medical record system.
• Provide support for triage and patient unloading using ESI triage scale, maintaining patient safety and care efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Must possess current RN licensure with a minimum of 2 years of in-unit emergency experience.
• Must have at least 1 completed travel assignment.
• Hold valid AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, NRP, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications; proof must be included prior to start.
• EPIC electronic health record experience from within the past 2 years is required.
• Demonstrate reliable transportation and flexibility to work rotating shifts including holidays.
