• Setting:
  Acute care hospital with Med/Surg Telemetry and progressive care patients

• Provide direct patient care for medical-surgical telemetry and progressive care patients, including orthopedics, urology, gynecology, and general surgery
• Administer medications safely, including insulin drips and cardiac drips, following established protocols
• Monitor patient status, interpret telemetry, perform EKGs, and initiate IV access as needed
• Document accurately in the electronic health record (EPIC) and collaborate with hospitalists and support teams
• Act as charge RN on assigned shifts, coordinating staffing and patient care within unit protocols
• Participate in rapid response, code events, and IV/IV access management; support patient transfers within the facility when appropriate
• Ensure safety, infection control, and adherence to unit-specific procedures and policies
• Maintain NIHSS assessments when applicable and ensure all required certifications are up to date prior to start

• Active registered nurse license in Vermont (on file at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical telemetry and/or progressive care experience; strong preference for MS Tele with critical thinking skills
• Charge RN experience required
• Insulin drip and cardiac drip management experience required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required prior to start; AHA BLS and AHA ACLS required
• EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years is required
• Prior travel healthcare experience required
