Position requirement: Must be a member of the SRA. Requires team leadership/management experience and experience in cross‑cloud/SaaS software licensing and consulting contracts. Experience in AI and from a SAP Partner, competitor, or commercial law firm is ideal.

Senior commercial/IT lawyer in the UK team, based in Feltham, Middlesex, to support all legal matters affecting SAP business in the United Kingdom.

• Report to the Head of UK Legal and Deputy Regional General Counsel in EMEA.
• Work closely with UK business, legal team, and global legal network.
• Provide legal work for UK sales divisions.
• Negotiate complex commercial contracts with customers and partners and advise SAP management.
• Ensure company strategies reflect legal implications and risks.
• Ensure contracts comply with SAP’s legal, contractual and business processes.
• Report legal disputes, customer escalations and coordinate with outside counsel.
• Act as a trusted business partner and support SAP’s business objectives and cloud strategy.
• Build stakeholder relationships with sales, finance, commercial, and revenue recognition teams.
• Collaborate with SAP’s Office of Ethics & Compliance on governance.
• Operate under high‑pressure sales environment.

• Qualified English lawyer with 10+ years post‑admission experience in contract and IT law.
• Management experience or potential to lead a team of lawyers.
• Strong communication, negotiation and drafting skills; able to influence senior executives.
• IT and IP legal experience.
• Working knowledge of data privacy and protection laws such as GDPR.
• Experience negotiating commercial contracts with customers and partners.
• Team‑oriented, collaborates with UK lawyers and global teams.
• Thrives in a dynamic, high‑pressure environment.
• Works independently, creatively and keeps stakeholders informed.
