Position: OSHA 40 HAZ Material Handler – 2nd Shift/3rd shift

Responsibilities include manifesting, packaging, spill response, labeling, loading/unloading, coordinating transportation, and sampling/profiling material while adhering to state and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations. While Environmental Specialists begin in entry-level roles, they move on to serve in nearly every department. Former Environmental Specialists are everywhere in the company including the consulting, sales, and operations management departments.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Manage hazardous and chemical waste programs for clients onsite following the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and other state and federal government agencies’ regulations
  • Train clients on proper chemical safety and hazardous waste management
  • Perform and document environmental health and safety audits for clients
  • Develop an understanding of OSHA regulations

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • BS/BA in Environmental Science or related degree preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work as a member of a team as well as an individual
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
  • Successful completion (upon the point of hire) of OSHA/DOT physical examination
