As the dairy sector continues to move toward automation and precision farming, we are growing and seeking an Installation Technician with strong technical aptitude.

This role is ideal for individuals passionate about agriculture, ag‑tech, robotics, and supporting progressive dairy farms as they integrate next‑generation technology.

• Install Lely robotic automatic milking systems on dairy farms throughout our serving area.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, electronic, and software‑related issues
• Complete on‑farm facility installations, upgrades, and equipment integrations
• Participate in required technical training to stay current with advancing technologies
• Work collaboratively with Avonbank team members and dairy producers to ensure proper setup, performance, and optimization of equipment
• Deliver high‑quality service in a fast‑paced, hands‑on farm environment

• Strong understanding of electronics, PLCs, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
• Experience with mechanical systems, electronic controls, or automation is an asset
• Self‑motivated, dependable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills
• Genuine interest in agriculture, dairy farming, robotics, or technical fieldwork
• Mechanical or ag‑tech experience is an advantage, but we will fully train the right candidate
• Pay: $52,000–$63,000 per year (based on experience and qualifications)
• Overtime opportunities when required
• Full benefits package, including RRSP matching up to 5%
