Your office: A high-end 10-acre ranch with Texas Long Horn cattle, horses, goats & chickens, you may also find yourself taking a walk along the Boise River, visiting the zoo, or fishing the Black Canyon Reservoir with the young adult students enrolled at Aloft Transitions.
As a mentor, you will be engaged in helping to facilitate self-awareness, motivation, career exploration, and navigating social situations and relationships with young adult clients aged 18 to 30 years old.
You will be involved in formal and informal teaching of life skills:
- Activities of daily living (ADL’s)
- Budgeting
- Care of the living space (house, room, bathroom, kitchen, vehicle maintenance)
- Farming/ranch activities (care of animals)
- Role modeling healthy adult behaviors and relationships
Aloft is looking for upbeat, mature, professional, positive, and driven individuals that have the ability to show genuine care and concern while demonstrating the ability to set healthy boundaries. The successful applicants will have life experiences they can draw from and have the personality and skill set to motivate others.
At least three years of experience or a college degree is needed. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, a clean driving record, high school completion, some college preferred, and a desire to make a difference in young adults' lives is a must.
