Securities Reconciliation Associate

Kelmar is seeking a Securities Reconciliation Associate to support unclaimed property examinations and compliance for state government clients. In this role, you will reconcile complex securities and cash positions, compare internal and external records, research breaks, and prepare clear documentation for audits and reporting. You will work closely with consulting and technology teams to analyze large financial datasets, validate system outputs, and support implementation of compliance solutions.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile securities and cash positions between internal records, custodians, and third-party statements
• Identify, research, and resolve reconciliation breaks and data discrepancies
• Support unclaimed property examinations by preparing schedules, work papers, and documentation
• Analyze large financial datasets using Excel and other tools to validate balances and transactions
• Collaborate with consulting and technology teams to test and validate compliance and analytics systems
• Prepare clear, audit-ready reports and summaries for state government clients
• Assist in documenting reconciliation processes and controls to support consistency and quality
• Maintain current knowledge of securities operations and relevant regulations affecting unclaimed property
