We are hiring a Classroom Teacher in our Preschool wing. This exciting, high-energy role focuses on the development and education of preschool-age children from 3 to 6 years of age. This role requires a creative, positive, engaging team player who wants to have lots of fun and work hard with likeminded educators.
Responsibilities- Collaborating with your co-teacher to equally prepare curriculum, lesson plans, materials, and monthly newsletters.
- Keeping parents informed by posting parent information on the Class Dojo app and classroom boards.
- Providing a safe environment by maintaining orderly, clean, and appealing classrooms.
- Encouraging children’s participation by providing age-appropriate interactive activities.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the classroom: routine opening/closing of the classroom, wiping down toys, cleaning tables, vacuuming, sanitizing, bathrooms, trash, and preparation for the next morning.
- Engaging with students in free play, supervising outdoors, assisting with bathroom needs and diapering, snack and meal assistance, naptime, etc.
- Adhering to the school’s structured schedules.
- Tracking children’s progress and completing assessments.
- Maintaining EEC professional development hours and PQ registry.
- Attending monthly staff meetings.
- Creating a fun and safe learning environment for students.
- Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students and parents.
- EEC Teacher Preschool Certification, CDA, or equivalent degree and experience (required)
- Daycare experience in a center-based, private, or public school setting
- Energetic approach to learning and a positive attitude
- Curiosity, creativity, and a strong team-focused mindset
- Flexibility to work an 8-hour shift within operating hours, including opening and closing shifts
- Ability to spend extended periods of time on the floor with the children
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand up to 90% of the workday
- Attentiveness, strong time management, and strong collaboration skills
