A global industrial automation company has engaged Samson Rose to identify a Hardware Design Engineer to join its engineering team focused on complex industrial machinery and automation systems.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing complex hardware architectures for industrial machineries, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and cost and time constraints.
The main capabilities requested are the following:
- Ability to work with the project team to define project architecture.
- Analyze and design hardware architecture for entire industrial machineries or parts of them, identifying innovative solutions, verifying historical data, researching new materials and technologies available on the market, and ensuring compliance with technical specifications, standards, and safety regulations.
- Implement assigned projects, elaborating system diagrams and bills of materials, as well as regulations and safety procedures related to the entire life of the equipment.
- Ability to support Production during assembly/testing phases, providing clarifications on projects, identifying necessary technical modifications, and updating the project accordingly.
- Ability to collaborate with relevant company departments in feasibility studies on project parts, supporting the direct superior or intervening personally, in line with received directives.
- Promote the dissemination of competence know-how, by preparing documentation and on-the- job training for interested personnel.
- Ability to support the project manager in project management, also participating in cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma Electrical or Mechatronics or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in hardware design for complex systems (EPlan, AutoCAD).
- Knowledge of technical specifications, standards, and safety regulations related to electrical and pneumatic systems (specific knowledge of SISTEMA and Safety Risk Analysis).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
