Hardware Design Engineer with Fameccanica in Boston Hub (Middleton, MA)
Design the systems behind the systems.
Fameccanica North America is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer to help shape the electrical and control architecture behind complex automated systems in its Boston Hub. This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who enjoys building from the ground up, partnering across disciplines, and contributing to highly engineered solutions that power advanced manufacturing and robotics.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop hardware architecture for automated equipment and integrated systems.
- Create and maintain electrical schematics, control panels, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.
- Collaborate with mechanical design, software, controls, and manufacturing teams to ensure system performance and integration.
- Support prototyping, system builds, testing, and troubleshooting through the development lifecycle.
- Help drive technical solutions that are scalable, reliable, and aligned with project requirements and customer needs.
What You Bring
- 5-10 years of experience in hardware, electrical, or controls design within automation, machinery, or industrial systems.
- Proficiency with tools such as EPlan, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar design platforms.
- Strong understanding of electrical standards, safety requirements, and system documentation best practices.
- Ability to work cross-functionally, solve technical challenges, and contribute in a fast-moving engineering environment.
- Experience supporting equipment build, debug, and validation activities is strongly preferred.
