Position: Dispatcher 1

We are hiring for one of our prime clients seeking a Dispatcher 1 to manage and coordinate truck fleet operations, ensure on-time performance, maintain DOT compliance, and deliver excellent customer service. This role is essential in supporting logistics, optimizing routes, and strengthening hauler relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote safety and reinforce safe behaviors among haulers, customers, and internal teams
  • Coordinate orders, dispatch trucks, and track real-time fleet performance
  • Manage inventory, forecast haul needs, and identify optimization opportunities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers regarding orders, pickups, deliveries, and problem resolution
  • Maintain professional communication with haulers, plant teams, and sales teams
  • Track regulatory compliance, DOT requirements, and documentation for freight movement
  • Participate in safety initiatives and transportation audits
  • Document and report customer or hauler complaints and provide solutions
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent;
    Associate's degree preferred
  • Work Experience: 2–3 years in logistics, dispatch, or related industry
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other office software
  • Additional Requirements:
  • Strong communication, telephone etiquette, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Familiarity with short-haul trucking operations
  • Physical ability to sit for extended periods
  • Competence with office technology and computerized systems
  • Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of PPE, including respirators as required
