This is a full-time, on-site School Bus Driver role based in Middleton, MA. The School Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, following assigned routes and schedules. Day‑to‑day tasks include conducting pre‑ and post‑trip inspections of the bus, operating the vehicle in a safe and defensive manner, and maintaining a calm, orderly environment on board. The driver will communicate with students, school staff, and dispatch as needed, follow all traffic laws and school transportation regulations, and complete required logs and documentation.

The role also involves providing courteous customer service, reporting any safety or maintenance concerns, and participating in required training and safety meetings.

• Strong driving skills in commercial or large vehicles, including Truck Driving and safe operation of school buses.
• Defensive Driving abilities with a focus on safety, hazard awareness, and adherence to traffic and school transportation regulations.
• Effective Communication skills with students, families, school staff, and coworkers, including clear verbal communication and active listening.
• Customer Service skills to provide a professional, respectful, and supportive experience for students and school personnel.
• Valid CDL Class B license with appropriate passenger and school bus endorsements, and a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background checks, drug and alcohol screenings, and medical examinations required for school bus drivers.
• Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to follow fixed routes and schedules and work early morning and afternoon shifts.
• Experience working with children or in a school environment is beneficial; prior school bus or commercial driving experience is a plus.
