Job Title:

Environmental Educator (Fall 2025 Season)

Location:

Texas & Wisconsin
Organization:
Nature’s Classroom Institute

Are you passionate about the outdoors, education, and inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards? Nature’s Classroom Institute is now hiring enthusiastic Environmental Educators for our Fall 2025 season! Join a dynamic team of like-minded individuals dedicated to providing unforgettable, hands-on learning experiences in nature.

We have open positions at our Texas and Wisconsin locations, where you’ll help connect school-aged children to the natural world through immersive, overnight environmental education programs. You’ll be encouraged to share your expertise and passions—whether it’s wildlife tracking, forest ecology, creative arts, or survival skills—by designing and delivering your own engaging, original lesson plans.

What You’ll Do:

Lead outdoor education programs for students on overnight field trips (Monday–Friday, no overnight or weekend work required).

Develop and teach interactive lessons based on your interests and environmental themes.

Foster a safe, inclusive, and fun learning environment.

Participate in camp-style community life, including meals and evening activities, (no cabin supervision required).

Who You Are:

High energy, patient, positive, and adaptable—ready for new challenges every day.

Comfortable living and working in a team-based, residential outdoor setting.

Passionate about environmental education and outdoor experiences.

A strong communicator with the ability to manage groups of children in a safe, engaging way.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred (especially in environmental science, education, or related fields).

Camp, outdoor education, or youth leadership experience strongly encouraged.

Recent graduates are welcome—we provide training and mentorship!

Room and board included during the program season + $450 per week.

Opportunities for professional development and leadership growth.

Paid travel potential! Opportunities to implement programming at our sites around the country.

A fun, supportive team culture in a beautiful natural setting.

Ready to inspire and explore?
Apply today to become part of a mission-driven team that’s making a difference—one campfire, forest hike, and hands-on science lesson at a time.
