Instructional Designer

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to support the development and rollout of a new internal software platform. This role will be responsible for creating engaging eLearning content, job aids, training materials, and other resources to help internal employees successfully adopt the new system.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with subject matter experts and business partners to gather information, ask thoughtful questions, identify training needs, and translate that information into clear, effective learning materials. The role will also involve close collaboration with the product team as the platform continues to be developed.

The majority of the work is expected to take place between October and March, with the platform scheduled to go live on May 30, 2027. Following go-live, the role may continue supporting enhancements, updates, and additional project-based training needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop eLearning courses and interactive training using Articulate Storyline and/or Rise
  • Create job aids, training guides, checklists, and other supporting learning materials
  • Partner with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to gather information and identify training requirements
  • Conduct interviews and discovery sessions with stakeholders to understand processes, system functionality, and learner needs
  • Develop effective questions and frameworks to help subject matter experts provide the information needed for training development
  • Collaborate with the product team and business units throughout the development process
  • Review existing knowledge and materials to establish a baseline for training development
  • Help identify gaps in existing documentation and training content
  • Organize and structure information into clear, user-friendly learning experiences
  • Support training needs leading up to and following the platform's go-live
  • Update and enhance training materials as the platform evolves and new functionality is introduced
  • Manage multiple training deliverables and deadlines throughout the project
