Job Summary
The Mechanical Designeris responsible for creating product drawings, writingspecifications,and general drafting using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools. Theywillinterfacewith customers, vendors, and all levels of the organizationregardingdrawings and specifications.
Job Functions
- Create models andimplementdesign improvements, design concepts,and layouts.
- Resolve product and application issuesthat may arise.
- Generatenew orreviseexisting drawings and specifications for electric motors, components, tools, jigs,fixtures,and equipment layout.
- Interpretsdrawings and specificationsusingprecisionmeasuring instruments
- Process Engineering Change Requests ina timelyandaccuratemanner
Qualifications
- Associate’sdegreeand 1 yearofprofessional experience in utilizing 2D and 3D CAD programs .
- Ableto use small hand tools and measuring devices
- Team player with strong project management skillsand take initiative
- Ability to problem solve, use scientific principles and creativity to troubleshoot problems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
