Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op
ETC is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op for 2027! This is an 8-9 month position for students starting in January 2027 or May 2027. The expectation would be for the student to take a semester off of school and work full-time with ETC!
Some of the duties you may be doing:
- Makes design modifications or improvements to development projects with supervision
- Maintains project reference documentation
- Develops test and verification procedures
- May be involved in continuing engineering maintenance and manufacturing floor support of existing products
- Provides task completion time estimates
- Attends identified training classes
- Participates as a team member, works effectively in a team environment
- Becomes familiar with tools and applications utilized by department
- Learns department and corporate policies, procedures, and plans
- Uses Solidworks CAD software to design engineering solutions
- Uses programming such as Labview, C++, databases for engineering solutions
- Assists in designing and developing new tools and jigs
- Uses Quick Response Manufacturing, Lean Manufacturing, and Lead-time reduction
- Assists with development of process standards with affected departments
- Assists in optimizing the layout and design of production processes and facilities
- Analyzes production processes; develop and implement process improvement plans
- Analyzes, tests, and develops products and process improvements for cost reduction opportunities
- Provides engineering support to manufacturing
- Completes ergonomic and human factor studies to improve the workstation and work environment
- Other tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
- 1-2 years post high school education in area of specialization
- GPA: 3.0 or higher
- Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in engineering field (industrial, electrical, mechanical, etc)
