Aspirus Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff, WI is seeking a CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT to join our WOODRUFF CLINIC team.
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is a member of the care team in the clinic setting who performs a wide variety of supportive tasks through the outpatient continuum of care including both clinical and non-clinical duties. The CMA will perform patient care duties under the supervision of a licensed medical professional. CMA’s may perform delegated interventions they are trained and competent to perform within the confines of state regulations.
The CMA represents a Medical Assistant who has been certified or registered.
Hours: Full Time 1.0 FTE, 80 Hours Biweekly
Responsibilities- Perform a wide variety of supportive tasks in the clinic setting across the outpatient continuum of care, including both clinical and non-clinical duties, under the supervision of a licensed medical professional.
- Assist with patient care duties and delegated interventions within state regulations and as trained and competent.
- Represent a certified or registered Medical Assistant in the clinic team.
- Knowledge of patient care standards and practices typically acquired through graduation from an accredited MA program or equivalent medical background and experience (three years).
- One year of healthcare experience preferred.
- Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration required or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
- Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire. BLS training must be maintained for identified clinical personnel (Health Care Provider CPR from American Heart Association or Red Cross Professional Rescuer with AED).

Howard Young Medical Center is an acute care facility located in Woodruff that provides primary and specialty care. Built in 1977, the hospital serves residents across northern Wisconsin including Oneida, Vilas, and Iron counties. The clinic offers primary care services and access to visiting specialists from the region.
