** RN - CRITICAL CARE TRANSPORT
**** JOB SUMMARY
** The Critical Care Transport - Registered Nurse (RN) works under the direction of the medical director and supervision of transport management is responsible for providing safe and the highest quality patient-centered care to critically ill or injured patients from all age groups. This individual will deliver patient care in a variety of settings including, scenes, interfacility transport, and hospital. The Critical Care Transport – RN practices at a professional level that serves to build and maintain relationships with hospital departments, referring organizations, and 911 services in order to promote integrated delivery systems.
** JOB QUALIFICATIONS
**** EDUCATION
* ** For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
*** Minimum

Required:

** Diploma, Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
** Preferred/Optional:
** None
* * EXPERIENCE
* *** Minimum

Required:

** One year of Critical Care/ICU experience. Demonstrated critical thinking skill, communication, and interpersonal skills in highly stressful environment. Demonstrated knowledge of emergency vehicles and traffic laws and operations.
** Preferred/Optional:
** Three years of Critical Care/ICU experience.
** CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
*** The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position.  Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
*** Minimum

Required:

*** RN license or Nurse Compact license awarded by the State of WI.
* Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license as verified through appropriate licensing agency. Must meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to MCHS's insurer.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
* AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire.
* AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within six months of hire
* Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) by AAP within six months of hire.
* Emergency Vehicle Operations Certification (EVOC), Certified Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO), or Emergency Vehicle Driver Training (EVDT) within two years of hire.
** Preferred/Optional:
*** Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
* AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification at time of hire.
* AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification at time of hire.
* Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) by AAP at time of hire.
* S.T.A.B.L.E. certification at time of hire.
* Certified Transport Registered Nurse (CTRN) or Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN) within 2 years of hire
* Emergency Vehicle Operations Certification (EVOC), Certified Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO), or Emergency Vehicle Driver Training (EVDT) at the time of hire.#
