Position Overview

Housing Hub is seeking a highly organized and experienced Maintenance Manager / Maintenance Dispatch professional to oversee and coordinate maintenance operations across our portfolio. This role is critical to ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality maintenance services while maintaining strong relationships with tenants, owners, vendors, and internal technicians.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid mechanical aptitude.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispatch and manage maintenance work orders from start to completion
  • Coordinate daily operations with in‑house technicians and third‑party vendors
  • Hire, train, manage, and, when necessary, terminate maintenance technicians
  • Review, approve, and negotiate vendor bids and invoices
  • Oversee maintenance billing and ensure accurate cost tracking
  • Communicate effectively with property owners regarding maintenance issues, approvals, and updates
  • Serve as a point of contact for tenant maintenance concerns and follow‑up
  • Ensure maintenance work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards
  • Troubleshoot issues using mechanical knowledge and problem‑solving skills
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in maintenance management, dispatch, or property management preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of building systems
  • Proven experience working with vendors and service providers
  • Leadership experience, including hiring and managing staff
  • Excellent organizational, time‑management, and multitasking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle high‑volume work orders in a fast‑paced environment
