The PositionStep into a high-impact leadership role at a large, well-established U.S. manufacturer known for producing everyday household essentials. As the site Quality Manager, you will own quality performance and continuous improvement across the plant, building a strong quality culture while ensuring the facility’s Quality Management System meets BRCGS Packaging Materials requirements and corporate standards.
Must have a Bachelors degree in any field and previous experience working in a plant environment running audits and managing a quality team.
- Lead site quality strategy and execution while serving as a key member of the plant leadership team
- Direct daily Quality Systems (QS) team operations
, including coaching, prioritization, and performance management - Develop and maintain the site QMS
, ensuring alignment with BRCGS Packaging Materials and internal corporate requirements - Lead the HACCP/HARA program
, ensuring strong risk-based programs are in place to support safe, compliant packaging - Manage inspection and control programs for incoming, in-process, and finished goods, ensuring technical rigor and consistency
- Own the calibration program for test and measurement equipment and complete Gage R&R studies as needed
- Drive training and capability building by identifying gaps and delivering practical, compliance-focused training
- Use data to improve performance
, trending test results, holds, and complaint patterns to target improvement opportunities - Prepare monthly complaint reporting and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement based on findings
- Lead cross-functional problem-solving
, issuing corrective action requests and conducting root cause investigations - Partner on product/process qualification (PPAP) for new equipment, new products, and significant process changes with Manufacturing and R&D
- Host customer and third-party audits
, ensuring corrective actions are completed, sustained, and customer specs are consistently met - Maintain regulatory and standards compliance across applicable national/international requirements
- 4+ years in Quality Assurance / Quality Systems in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, sampling/inspection methods, auditing, root cause problem-solving, and plant operations
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and hold teams accountable
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced setting with competing priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to perform statistical analysis using Excel and/or Minitab
- HACCP training/certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Working knowledge of BRCGS or other GFSI certifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt (certified or trained)
- Ability to maintain or obtain ASQ certifications (CQIA, CQPA, CQE) within 18 months
- Different backgrounds in quality will be considered
