Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Automotive Technician
Ryder System is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our Automotive department supporting our Transportation & Logistics fleet. In this role, you will inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel trucks, trailers, and related equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations for our diverse customers. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and brake systems, and using diagnostic tools to resolve complex issues.

Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel trucks, trailers, and related equipment
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and DOT inspections
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and braking systems
- Use diagnostic software, tools, and manuals to identify issues
- Complete accurate work orders and maintenance records
- Follow Ryder and DOT safety, quality, and compliance standards
- Collaborate with drivers, dispatch, and team members to prioritize repairs
- Support continuous improvement and maintain a clean, organized shop
