Whisker operates daily with two shifts. If selected for an interview, please confirm if you are interested in first, second or either shift.
First Shift: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm CST |
Second Shift: 3pm - 11:30pm CST
What You’ll Do
:
As a Warehouse/Distribution Associate II, you will assist with all material handling needs which are included but not limited to; safely loading and unloading all materials on trailers, stocking/staging inventory, quality control and maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Takes and removes materials to/from shipping and litter stations
- Maintains high level of organization and cleanliness
- Always maintains the proper inventory levels at workstations and racking
- Receives and checks incoming materials to the department – puts materials in correct stock locations and consolidates inventory
- Keeps the warehouse and shipping areas free of clutter and organized at all times.
- Collaborates with the department supervisor and lead to ensure all department requests are being fulfilled.
- Participates in cycle counting activities as required
- Delivers excellent customer service at all times to all levels inside and outside the organization
- Works collaboratively and cooperatively with other material handlers, and effectively trains new material handlers as needed in the shipping department.
- Performs quality checks for incoming and outgoing materials – ensures correct materials are received, in good condition, and all shipping labels are applied to cartons
- Performs all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and reflects respect, excellence and superior customer service
- Efficiently operates equipment (including, but not limited to, Powered Industrial Trucks, Hand Trucks and Pallet Tables) while prioritizing the Whisker Zero-Incident Safety Culture
- Performs and documents Pre-Shift Powered Industrial Truck Inspections, informing the Distribution Supervisor when maintenance is required
- Will be required to perform other duties as assigned that would contribute to the successful operation of the department, team and/or organization
- Must maintain Whisker Powered Industrial Truck Certification
- Must push or pull pallets with manual pallet jacks onto docked trailers
- Must lift Litter-Robots over head onto trailer or pallet
- Requires good attendance & a positive attitude
- Multi-tasking skills are a must – able to handle multiple requests at once
- High attention to detail
- Proactive in preventing issues before they arise
- Basic addition and subtraction skills
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. repetitively throughout the day (as needed)
- Sitting, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, and climbing (as needed) for 8-10 hours a day
- Ability to work in various temperatures
- Ability to work occasional overtime and Saturday
- Experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate, or similar position
- Experience with warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack)
- Familiarity with shrink wrapper
- Basic understanding of different parcel carriers
