Join our dynamic dental team as a Certified Dental Assistant, where your expertise will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient care. As a vital member of ourteam, you will assist with a wide range of dental procedures, ensure smooth clinical operations, and uphold the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. Duties- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Assist dentist during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics and pediatric dentistry, ensuring all tools and materials are ready for use.
- Take digital dental radiographs(X-ray) accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety standards.
- Manage patient records using
Softdent dental software ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant with HIPAA. - Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency and patientcomfort.
- Monitor vital signs and assist with documentation when necessary for patients with special needs ormedical conditions.
- Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and dental coding to accurately document procedure sand communicate effectively within the team.
- Valid certification as a Dental Assistant with current licensure or registration as required by state law.
- Proven experience in dental assisting within a busy dental office environment, including pediatric dentistry.
- Proficiency with Softdent,familiarity with dental records management is a plus.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding standards.
- Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely following radiation safety guidelines.
- Excellent communication skillsto interact effectively with patients of all ages and team members across specialties like endodontics or prosthodontics.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detailand patient comfort.
