Hartford Healthcare-GoHealth Urgent Care Physician Opportunities Within Expanding Urgent Care Network in Connecticut Various Opportunities & Locations AvailableWe are seeking experienced Physicians who have urgent care or emergency room experience, treating both adult and pediatric patients, to join our welcoming and diverse community of providers in the surrounding region .
Job Summary:Physicians independently perform a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections and are also responsible for selecting and utilizing appropriate diagnostics and/or therapeutic procedures for patients.
Education- Graduate of an accredited medical school required
- 2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience required
- Minimum 18 months experience in applicable practice setting required
- Adult and pediatric practice experience
- Board Certified or Board Eligible by an ABMS member board or AOA specialty board in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
- Active state medical licensure
Skills and Abilities
Required
- Experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting
- Applicable office procedures including but not limited to suturing, splinting, etc.
- Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records
- Ability to be attentive with strong listening skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Responsibilities include:
- Examining and treating patients
- Taking patients' medical histories
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-rays
- Making diagnoses and prescribing medications
- Treating minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or casting
- Recording progress notes for follow-up patients
- Educating and counseling patients
- Ordering and/or carrying out therapy with patients
- Giving vaccinations, and referring patients to additional care
- Supervising GoHealth PA/NPs remotely when cases are presented to you for supervision
Responsibilities include:
- Examining and treating patients

- Act as a Collaborating Physician for up to four PA/NPs in the credentialing process, including signoff of the PA/NPs delineation of privileges (DOP)
- 20 hours required monthly for per diem
