Position SummaryThe Enrollment Management Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality collaborative enrollment plans and seamless onboarding support that meets the diverse needs of all students and maintains compliance with FERPA and all applicable policies and laws.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assist the Campus Supervisor in delivering a comprehensive, one‑stop enrollment services experience to all credit students on campus.
- Provide high‑quality customer service to prospective, new, and current students, staff, faculty, and the public.
- Provide front‑line support, answering phone calls and emails to assist students with admissions applications, residency status, enrollment process, cost of attendance, etc.
- Oversee all inbound and outbound communication through the general registration email account, responding to incoming emails and drafting outbound communications to students, including promotions of events, enrollment information, school policies, dates, deadlines, and other announcements.
- Review and process applications for admission, screening documents such as transcripts, immigration and veterans' papers, and financial‑aid requests to evaluate completeness and appropriateness for college programs.
- Advise prospective students and their families on academic and career interests, discuss degree fit, and assist with application, financial‑aid, placement, advising, and registration processes.
- Process in‑person registrations and complete other registration functions such as add/drops, withdrawals, change of major, researching and resolving registration and billing problems, and scanning student records.
- Interpret and communicate general college admissions and registration policies and procedures to the college community.
- Perform broad administrative support duties to facilitate the admissions process, including composing correspondence to arrange candidate interviews and providing general admissions information.
- Recommend and direct students to appropriate campus resources, including Academic Advising, Career Counseling, Disability Services, Financial Aid, Veterans Affairs, and other student support services.
- Participate in enrollment events such as Enroll in a Day, Super Saturday, etc.
- Participate in ongoing training and cross‑training opportunities to ensure timely, thorough, and accurate processes.
- Collaborate with appropriate faculty and staff as needed to support enrollment of each student.
- Maintain a commitment to CSCC overarching goals, including initiatives encouraging equity and diversity.
- Represent CT State Community College interests at professional organizations at the state level.
- May involve occasional evening or weekend work, within contractual limitations.
- Attend and participate in convocation and commencement ceremonies.
- Serve on assigned committees and task forces.
- Attend and participate in committee, staff, informational, and professional meetings, which may occur during evenings and weekends.
