The Chemistry Department at Wesleyan University invites applications for an open-rank tenure-track Professor of Chemistryposition in any of the areas encompassed by experimental physical,computational physical, or inorganic chemistry, with an expectedstart date of July 1, 2027. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a vibrant, externally funded research programinvolving both graduate and undergraduate researchers. Candidates should also demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching atboth the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Special considerationwill be given to candidates capable of teaching courses in both introductory and advanced topics of physical chemistry or inorganicchemistry for both undergraduate and graduate student populations.

Additional duties include advising and mentoring students and participating in faculty governance at the departmental anduniversity level. Candidates who have demonstrated success inworking with diverse populations and whose research couldcontribute to Wesleyan’s interdisciplinary programs (including, butnot limited to, the College of the Environment, the College of Integrative Sciences, and the College of Design and Engineering Studies) are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in chemistry or a related field at thetime of application.
