The Chemistry Department at Wesleyan University invites applications for an open-rank tenure-track
Professor of Chemistrypositioninany ofthe areas encompassed byexperimentalphysical,computational physical,orinorganicchemistry,withan expected startdate ofJuly 1, 2027.The successful candidate will be expected to develop avibrant, externally funded research program involving bothgraduateandundergraduate researchers.
Candidates shouldalsodemonstratepotential for excellence in teachingatboththeundergraduate and graduate levels.
Special consideration will be given to candidates capable oft eachingcoursesinbothintroductory and advanced topics ofphysicalchemistryor inorganic chemistryfor both undergraduate and graduate student populations.
Additional duties include advising and mentoring students andparticipatingin faculty governance at the departmental and university level.
Candidates who have demonstrated success in working with diverse populations and whose researchcould contribute to Wesleyan’s interdisciplinary programs(including,but not limited to,the College oftheEnvironment,the College of Integrative Sciences,and the College of Design and Engineering Studies) are especially encouraged to apply.
