High School Special Education Teacher in Middletown, CT

• Valid Special Education teaching certification, appropriate for high school level
• Recent experience working with high school-aged students in special education
• Strong collaboration skills for effective co-teaching
• Understanding of IEPs and ability to deliver personalized instruction
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Flexibility and commitment to providing student-centered support

• Deliver direct instruction and support to high school students with diverse learning needs in both resource and inclusive classroom settings
• Co-teach with general education teachers, collaborating on lesson planning and classroom management
• Implement and monitor IEPs, ensuring all goals and accommodations are met
• Track student progress and document performance regularly
• Communicate with parents, staff, and administrators as needed
• Foster a welcoming environment that encourages student growth, engagement, and independence
