Function
Perform the facilities work necessary to operate, install, overhaul, maintain, and repair equipment assigned to facilities services used to generate, transfer and supply energy and utilities for plant operations. Resolve operating and distribution problems for interrelated systems.
What You Will Do- Operate, maintain, service, and repair equipment, systems, and control devices for heat, water cooling, air, and utilities supporting plant operations.
- Operate, maintain, and repair powerhouse and auxiliary generation and distribution equipment and related system components.
- Monitor and control complex boilers, compressors, and air machinery for use throughout the plant.
- Perform installation, overhaul, repair work, preventive maintenance, and service as required.
- Assist others in system operation, care, and use of equipment, and work on special project groups.
- Support joint projects with other trades where skills crossover is beneficial.
3rd Shift hours:
Monday – Friday 11:00PM – 7:00AM.
- Work experience with steam generation, cooling towers, gas compression, water treatment, auxiliary distribution systems, and associated control systems.
- At least 2 years of trades training and boiler operation experience.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Possess OE‑2 license.
- Knowledge of operation and maintenance of steam generating equipment, cooling towers, gas compression, water treatment, and auxiliary distribution systems.
- Understanding of combustion principles, boiler maintenance, and safe operating procedures.
- Familiarity with jet/gas turbine operation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of compressed air equipment operation and maintenance.
- Understanding of Power Plant control systems (SCADA, DCS, HMIs, PLCs, Loop Controllers).
Candidate may need to train for, obtain, and maintain other licenses, operator permits, and certifications as required.
