Overview
This entry‑level position serves as a critical link within the engineering organization, reporting directly to the Engineering Documentation and Change Administrator. The Engineering Documentation & Change Specialist is responsible for managing and processing a wide range of engineering documents—including specifications, technical reports, and detailed drawings—to ensure accurate and timely information flow through Windchill. By maintaining document integrity and version control you help prevent costly errors and delays, ensuring that engineering outputs are correctly translated into actionable manufacturing instructions.
In this pivotal position you support the entire product development lifecycle—from initial design through production—by guaranteeing that all stakeholders have access to the most current and accurate information. Your work directly impacts operational efficiency, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure information compliance with engineering documentation control policies.
- Update engineering documentation as directed by engineers by change notices.
- Process engineering change notices.
- Process promotion requests.
- Support document management, product structure, and workflow projects using PTC Creo and Windchill software.
- Support users with Windchill related requests.
- Provide training to users when appropriate.
- Enter Jira tasks for change actions and regularly check in on aging tasks to ensure timely resolution.
- Enter and update item masters and current materials (BOMs) in Syteline as required by change notices.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment where accuracy and timeliness are paramount.
