Our Arcadis Structural Team seeks an experienced Senior Structural Engineer (PE) with expertise in municipal, wastewater, and industrial water projects. The role serves as a subject‑matter expert, providing technical leadership, guiding project teams, collaborating directly with clients, and contributing to business development in the region.
Key Accountabilities- Organize and conduct structural‑related engineering investigations, calculations, and planning work with well‑defined scope.
- Lead the development of calculations, plans, specifications, RFPs, and other contract documents.
- Work directly with engineering disciplines, project staff, clients, and subcontractors throughout the project life cycle; coordinate meetings, client presentations, and write reports.
- Exercise judgment on work details, preliminary selections, and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
- Manage production of engineering and construction drawings, specifications, bid packages, and cost estimates.
- Function as Engineer of Record, Task Manager, or Project Engineer on projects to manage budgets, schedules, deliverables, permit checklists, and scopes of work, and facilitate coordination for timely completion.
- Mentor entry‑level and junior structural engineering staff.
- Travel may be required for site visits, client meetings, safety audits, general planning, or construction oversight.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant engineering experience, including supervision of large, complex municipal and industrial water and wastewater projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Deep experience leading and mentoring internal teams with strong relationship‑building skills.
- Functional knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit software.
- Strong structural analysis and design skills (e.g., Staad Pro, RISA, etc.).
- Excellent knowledge of building codes and standards such as IBC, ACI, AISC, etc.
