We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve manufacturing operations at our
Middletown, Connecticut facility. In this role, you will work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to enhance process efficiency, solve technical challenges, and drive continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands‑on experience in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Support day-to-day manufacturing operations by troubleshooting process issues and implementing solutions
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Assist in new product introduction (NPI), including process development and tooling support
- Utilize 3D modeling tools to support fixture design and process improvements
- Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities for quality issues
- Spend time on the shop floor working directly with operators and supervisors to drive improvements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in aerospace or a highly regulated industry
- Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., Solid Works, NX, or similar)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (GD&T knowledge preferred)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Project management experience is highly desired, but not required
- A hands‑on, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow
