Pratt & Whitney Cold Section Engineering (CSE) is seeking a detailed-focused Design Engineer to work for focusing in major rotating components, Engineering Support To Operations (ESTO) Team based in Middletown, CT. In this role you will be involved with various production support activities related to commercial or military products.

- Gain exposure to a variety of commercial and military cold-section rotating hardware.
- Possible opportunities include design of commercial/military IBRs, rotors, and modules owned by P&W.
- Opportunity to grow communication and leadership skills through:
Driving systemic QN reduction, and supporting manufacturing cost of poor quality initiatives. - Manufacturing and inspection exposure while working to increase part manufacturing yield.
- This position is a part of our Engineering Development Program (EDP). EDP participants will complete three to four rotations to build technical breadth and leadership abilities before graduating from the program.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
- Experience with manual inspection techniques and manufacturing work instructions.
- Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Prior intern experience working in the Aerospace Industry within the design and/or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Semiens NX/sketch-based CAD programs.
- Experience conveying technical results and ideas through clear written reports and oral presentations.
- Experience consistently driving tasks to completion with a strong results orientation, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
