Job Title:Valet Parking Attendant Part Time

Department:
Front Office

Reports To:Front Office Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary: P
rovides exceptional service to all guests and potential guests by assisting them in a friendly, efficient, courteous and professional manner. Provides valet parking services to safely and efficiently move guest automobiles to a designated parking location while following Company policies and procedures. This function may include assisting with loading and unloading of luggage, guest requests, answer phone calls, provide information in regard to the hotel's facilities and events, and directions to local attractions, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Other duties may be assigned.

  • Controls and directs traffic coming into parking lot.
  • Parks vehicles when requested by customers and as needed.
  • Oversees security of vehicles parked in lot.
  • Performs general maintenance, upkeep of parking lot and the courtyard's exterior such as sweeping, washing outside windows and picking up debris.
  • Assists with carrying packages/luggages for customers on an as-needed basis.
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.
  • Communicates health and/or safety concerns or violations immediately to management.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Language Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Computer

Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet, internet software, and contact management systems.

Education/

Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
