ABOUT THE PROGRAM:Mobile Crisis Intervention Services
EMPS delivers 24/7 crisis support for children and families experiencing emotional, behavioral, or situational distress. Services include:
- Crisis telephone triage and support
- Mobile crisis assessment and intervention
- Community-based care in homes, schools, courts, and other settings
Our mission is to provide early intervention, stabilization, and alternatives to hospitalization while strengthening families and communities.
Team Structure & Work EnvironmentAs Clinical Supervisor, you will lead and support a multidisciplinary, fast-paced mobile crisis team
, consisting of:
- Supervisory Crisis Intake/Triage managing incoming calls and coordinating responses.
- Master’s-level Clinicians providing mobile assessments and interventions with follow-up and linkage to services.
You will collaborate closely with:
- External partners including schools, hospitals, DCF, law enforcement, and community providers
- Internal quality, training, and compliance teams
This role blends hands-on clinical leadership with administrative oversight
, offering a balance of:
- Real-time crisis consultation
- Staff coaching and development
- Program operations management
You’ll also participate in a broader leadership structure
, receiving support from senior program leadership while helping guide team culture, performance expectations, and service delivery standards.
Clinical Supervisor
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides case consultation, direction and leadership within the team.
- Ensures clients receive services that are focused on presenting problems and clients’ request for treatment.
- Directs crisis intervention efforts and intervenes as required.
- Monitors client meetings, admission, continued stay and discharge criteria.
- Reviews caseloads regularly to ensure appropriate utilization of services.
- Oversees hiring, training, and performance management of staff within the program.
- Facilitates team meetings.
- Participates in internal and external meetings as needed by program and agency, including delivering marketing, training and case consultation services.
- Ensures client, program and agency documentation and reports are completed in a timely manner and according to program, agency, funder and accreditation/licensing standards.
- Oversees the completion of chart audits and ensures that all necessary documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Acts as primary point person for program and provides backup or on call coverage as needed by program and agency.
- Ensures proper maintenance of vehicles/if applicable.
- Performs other duties as assigned. Provides clinical direction and leadership to the team, fostering a collaborative and effective working environment in collaboration with their supervisor.
- Ensures the completion of insurance authorizations for services rendered, as required.
- Actively participates in committees focused on service delivery and quality improvement within the agency.
Education:
Master’s or higher in mental health related field required.
Experience:A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a clinician. Clinical supervisory experience required.
Licensure/Certification /Registration:LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist required.
Training:Experience in related program service preferred
