Position Overview
We are seeking a personable, detail-oriented professional to join our hospitality team in a banquet service role. This position is responsible for providing a welcoming guest experience while preparing and serving beverages efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with venue standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, works well as part of a team, and maintains a polished, professional presence throughout each event.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for banquet events with consistency and accuracy.
- Set up, stock, and maintain bar areas before, during, and after events.
- Deliver friendly, attentive, and efficient service to guests and event attendees.
- Verify guest eligibility and comply with all applicable laws, policies, and responsible alcohol service standards.
- Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and communicate needs to management or event leadership.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards in all bar and service areas.
- Process drink orders, handle payments when required, and ensure accurate transactions.
- Work collaboratively with banquet servers, culinary teams, and event staff to support smooth service.
- Respond professionally to guest requests and resolve service concerns in a courteous manner.
- Follow event timelines and adapt quickly to changing service needs.
- Previous experience in bartending, banquet service, hospitality, or food and beverage service preferred.
- Knowledge of beverage preparation, bar setup, and service standards.
- Understanding of responsible alcohol service practices and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy, event-driven environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move supplies as needed.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying event schedules.
- A positive attitude and commitment to exceptional guest service.
