Responsibilities
The Product Delivery Center (PDC) Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager will partner with PDC leadership to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to company standards.
- Develop, set and drive strategic EH&S initiatives within the PDC module center; manage, train and mentor EH&S professionals supporting the center.
- Work on cross‑functional projects that interface with groups external to and within the site EH&S team.
- Manage the administration of the PDC EH&S Council, including interfacing with subcommittees, updating performance trends, and tracking projects to completion.
- Act as the site program manager for health and safety programs such as Industrial Hygiene, OSHA Recordkeeping, Incident Investigation & Case Management, Site Communications, and other related programs.
- Coordinate and conduct specialized health and/or safety audits and inspections of premises and operations in conjunction with others to monitor performance and assist line management in producing action plans for improvement.
- Conduct trend analysis for inspections, audits, injuries, spills, near hits, and develop corrective/preventive actions to improve performance.
- Provide and ensure EH&S training is conducted, assist as necessary, and respond/give guidance as a spill responder on a rotating on‑call schedule.
- Bachelor’s degree and 10 or more years of experience in environmental engineering, occupational safety & health, environmental management, chemistry, chemical engineering or a similar environment.
- OR Master’s degree and 7 or more years of experience in the same fields.
- Previous EH&S experience developing and implementing industry‑leading safety and health programs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Prior experience forming, facilitating, and maintaining internal and cross‑functional teams and relationships.
- Experience working in a union manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience coaching, leading, developing and mentoring a team.
- Continuous Improvement experience (e.g., CORE, Six Sigma, LEAN).
- Additional certifications such as CSP, CIH.P.E. or CHMM.
