Development Operations Quality Assurance Supervisor, 2nd Shift; Onsite

Pratt & Whitney Middletown, CT site is seeking a Development Operations Quality Assurance Supervisor for the 2nd shift. The role supervises a group of hourly inspectors in a Development Engine Assembly environment and provides leadership in EH&S, ACE, FOD, Quality and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Allocate work, assign manpower and provide leadership for employees.
• Lead daily toolbox meetings and communicate with Management regarding activity status and plans.
• Develop team and respond to program requirements and changes.
• Establish standards and expectations for work effort and performance.
• Give consistent feedback and coach employees to improve performance.
• Perform administrative functions related to Bargaining Unit employees: maintain training, quality and attendance records.
• Establish work schedules considering customer requirements, resource availability and priorities.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years experience, or advanced degree and minimum 3 years experience.
• Established background in quality functions, processes and procedures.
• Knowledge of PC-based information systems.
• Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles such as Lean, ACE, QCPC, DIVE.

• Supervisory experience with a Collective Bargaining Unit preferred.
• Ability to motivate teams using ACE tools to achieve performance goals.
• Knowledge of quality applications in engine assembly/test operations.
• Experience with engine test, gas turbine engines, dimensional inspection and/or calibration systems.

Salary range: $86,800 USD – $165,200 USD. Eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, paid time off and holidays, as well as annual incentive compensation options.
