Senior Product Manufacturing Engineer; Onsite

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to the manufacturing shop floor and drive manufacturing process improvements across multiple steps spanning the full value stream of the parts.
• Act as the primary manufacturing point of contact for a specific part family, engaging cross‑functional teams (Process Manufacturing Engineers, Design Engineers, Project Engineers, Quality Engineers, Structural Engineers) to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Identify, track, and coordinate projects that reduce cost of poor quality and improve operational capacity, using project management tools in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Drive targeted manufacturing process optimization activities through MRL tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Process Flow Diagram, PFMEA, Control Plans, Measurement Systems Analysis, Yield & Cost Curves, and Qualification Plans.
• Manage KPC and leverage PPAP elements to increase first‑pass yield across the manufacturing value stream.
• Fully document problem statements, observations, conclusions, calculations, and recommendations.
• Communicate and work with senior management for risk escalation and mitigation plans.
• Support the project pipeline process to select, prioritize, and scope projects to improve first‑pass yield and throughput across the value stream.

• B.S. in a STEM field with minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing or Master’s degree with minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Experience managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and collaborate across disciplines.
• Experience in a manufacturing shop environment.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Preferred:
  Six Sigma project leadership / management / coaching experience.
• Preferred:
  Experience in project management tools (MS Projects, Smartsheets).
• Preferred:
  Experience with PW software tools (Solumina, SAP), UG/NX, Teamcenter, and statistical software (Minitab, DOE, multivariate statistics).
• Preferred:
  Prior work on rotating gas turbine parts.

Salary range: USD $86,800 - $165,200.
