- Follow assembly drawings, specifications, and computer information systems to prepare parts and build subassemblies, modules, and accessories for new gas turbine engines where tooling and process methods are established.
- Assist with engine test operations and perform component and accessory tests as assigned.
- Use overhaul and repair procedures and specifications to perform mechanical work to overhaul engines, modules, and related components.
- Obtain parts and check details for conformance to assembly requirements; fit and measure components to ensure overall dimensions are within limits specified.
- Use mechanic’s hand tools, holding fixtures, and specialized assembly equipment to build engine sections and perform installations of details; maintain equipment and tooling for assigned areas.
- Provide related support for test operations and assist with testing under direct supervision and specific test schedules.
- Assist with co-producer, customer support, retrofit projects, new engine programs, and specification changes.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent with formal training in a specialized field achieving an A&P license or equivalent OR 4 years of technical high school including technical post-high school certification and 5+ years of heavy automotive experience.
- Experience as an aerospace mechanic or A&P mechanic.
- 3+ years avionics mechanic experience.
- Priority consideration given to candidates who are INTERNAL (and recalled) to the Pratt & Whitney IAM Bargaining Unit members of District Lodge 26 and Affiliated Locals 700 and 1746 (Connecticut Operations).
