Position: Master Assemblers - 1st shifts - Perm role

Responsibilities

  • Get assigned work from racks or supervisor.
  • Clock in and out of jobs.
  • Lay out each job neatly.
  • Ability to read and use prints or manuals to verify build.
  • Assemble jobs quickly, efficiently, and correctly.
  • Maintain vigilance to identify and prevent potential errors before they occur.
  • Examine parts and make sure they conform with specifications and have no defects; report any issues.
  • Bring completed work to the supervisor and ask him/her to test and verify it meets our standards and passes through inspection.
  • Understand which hand tools do what and use them appropriately.
  • Master the use of special tooling.
  • Know how to effectively use drill & hydraulic presses, as well as mini lathes.
  • Able to build all products including new designs, with little-to-no assistance.
  • Able to silver solder and use torch.
  • High level problem solver.
  • Lead other duties, Research & Development, and/or special projects, as assigned by your supervisor (i.e., material handling).
  • Ability to look at a job and know the most efficient hand movements and tool usage to complete the job.
  • Understand the “Law of Diminishing Returns”.
  • Train other Assemblers as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with the entire assembly department to address challenges and optimize processes, and a passion for assisting others as needed.
  • Have full knowledge of lubricants & Loctite usage, as well as seal and O-Ring usage.
  • Have a basic knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Have full knowledge of wiring schematics.
  • Ability to build all necessary Control Boxes.
  • Once completed work has been approved: clean, bag, and tag.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace by performing general housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Perform duties and tasks while following all safety protocols.
  • Work and communicate efficiently with all co-workers to address challenges and optimize processes.
