Summary
The primary function of the APRN in Surgical Alliance is to provide comprehensive weight-loss management and perioperative surgical care to the assigned specialty patient population under the supervision of the program's Medical Director and Program Manager. He/she works
collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, providing consistency to both the program and outpatients. The APRN helps develop evidence-based protocols and standards for all bariatric activities. Works collaboratively as the clinical coordinator with the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Clinical Reviewer in the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program.
Minimum qualifications:
MSN, Graduate of Nurse Practitioner Master's Degree Program
Licensed Nurse Practitioner in the State of Connecticut
Current BLS Certification
2 years clinical experience
