- Oversee nursing practice across six acute addiction units serving approximately 130 patients.
- Provide leadership and supervision for a nursing workforce of roughly 200 employees.
- Ensure safe, high quality nursing care for patients with high acuity psychiatric and addiction related needs.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, including DPH, TJC, and other governing bodies.
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of clinical policies and best practice standards.

Connecticut Valley Hospital boasts a rich history first opening its doors over 150 years ago in 1868. As the State’s public hospital we provide treatment of mental illness and currently comprise 18 inpatient units over two campuses (Middletown and Hartford). The Addiction Services Division provides 24-hour inpatient services with acute detoxification and intensive treatment options.

$124,895 - $170,298/year
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCETwo (2) years of experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity in a health care organization and/or facility or hospital nursing. For state employees this experience is interpreted at the level of a Supervising Nurse.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS- Incumbents in this class must possess and retain a license as a Registered Nurse in Connecticut OR hold a Multistate or Compact Registered Nurse license.
