Registered Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care within a correctional healthcare setting. The RN is responsible for assessing, treating, and monitoring patients while collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care in a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, vital signs, and treatment progress.
• Administer medications, immunizations, IV therapy, and other prescribed treatments.
• Respond to medical emergencies, provide first aid, CPR, and coordinate emergency care when needed.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
• Perform specialized nursing procedures, including wound care, catheterization, tube feedings, oxygen therapy, phlebotomy, and other clinical treatments as required.
• Maintain accurate medical records, medication documentation, and controlled substance inventories.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide patient education and health counseling.
• Assist with training, mentoring, and supporting nursing staff as needed.
• Ensure compliance with nursing standards, policies, and applicable state and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Experience in correctional, acute care, medical-surgical, emergency, or long-term care settings is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
• Proficiency in medical documentation and electronic health records.
