Registered Nurse
The position is accountable for providing specialized professional nursing care involving direct nursing care of individuals. The role includes performing professional nursing work in the areas of community, behavioral health, or therapeutic nursing. The incumbent functions as an independent practitioner responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and coordination of nursing care. Collaboration with interdisciplinary treatment teams is essential.
Key responsibilities include independently developing, implementing, and evaluating nursing and health care plans. Providing nursing consultation within assigned specialty programs. Conducting comprehensive nursing assessments. Providing admission and discharge nursing assessments, including plans for continuing care. Maintaining accurate clinical records and preparing required reports. Delivering nursing services in compliance with applicable regulations and accreditation standards. Maintaining records of stored and secured medications.
Ensuring controlled substances are properly stored, administered, and ordered. Independently managing and providing direct care to patients and individuals. Participating in individual, group, and family therapy as appropriate. Engaging as a member of an interdisciplinary team in treatment planning and evaluation. Managing an assigned caseload and other clinical activities. Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to support quality patient care. May participate in home visits and crisis intervention activities and share clinical knowledge and best practices.
Performing related duties as required.
May be required to lift and restrain individuals. Exposure to infectious diseases or challenging patient behaviors may occur.
