American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 2 years of experience and prior travel nursing background.

• Acute care Med Surg/Tele unit
• 26-bed unit with general medical diagnoses and conditions
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4 days and 1:7-8 nights
• Uses EPIC EMR
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts (7p-7:30a)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required, including full weekend coverage on Saturday and Sunday
• Every other holiday required
• Charge nurse role shared with adjacent unit
• Nurse aide support at 1:8 ratio
• IV team available 7am-8:30pm with resource nurse available 24/7
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7, though nurses perform respiratory treatments
• In-house hospitalist coverage 24/7
• Pharmacy available 24/7
• No tele monitoring or ventilator management (CPAP for sleep only)

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required

• Provide general medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care
• 2-shift floor-specific orientation provided
• Scrub color is Caribbean blue with black or white undershirts allowed; top layer must be uniform color and pants may be black or Caribbean blue
• Candidates must be available to work the entire assigned schedule with no blocked schedules
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible
• Minimal RTO requested, with no time off permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment
